Founded in 2012, EyeD Pharma is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of innovative drug products in ophthalmology. EyeD Pharma is developing innovative products based on a new delivery pathway of well-known drugs with the aim of improving quality of life of patients in various ocular pathologies.

In 2019, UniD Manufacturing was born, which brings together production activities.

In parallel with its R&D and industrialization activities, EyeD Pharma started in 2017 a commercial activity of medical devices (equipment and consumables) for eye surgery.

EyeD Pharma and UniD Manufacturing headquarters are located in the Science Park of Liège.  This collaborative environment will allow a positive synergy between R&D activities, production, logistics and administration. 

To support its development, EyeD Pharma is hiring a Research Scientist.

Your responsibilities

As a Research Scientist in the exploratory cell at EyeD Pharma the candidate will support the innovation in the field of polymeric drug delivery.

• Perform literature review related to innovation projects in the field of polymeric drug delivery.
• With the innovation team, contribute to the design of the exploratory studies to be performed: prototypes manufacturing and characterization, new polymers evaluation, …
• Plan, execute and document exploratory studies.
• Write technical protocols and reports.
• Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the exploratory laboratory: manage equipment’s and raw material supply.
• Contribute to the protection of the intellectual properties identified.
• Bring scientific support to other departments such as R&D and business development.
• Contribute to business development identification process with the Business Development team.

Your profile :

• PhD in Chemistry or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent by experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in polymer chemistry is a must
• Experience in drug delivery is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French
